This is not good news mike, shame you cant get any help.id agree with rich, for it to run perfect you'd ideally need the full harness ecu pick up ring etc etc from the donor car bit different from dropping an m16a which is just plug and play.but weather this could have caused it to fail different matter loads of factors to be taken into concideration.

Yes thanks for all the comments Guys. I have just spoken with Suzuki technical support today and they said that my model of pre VVT Jimny would never work properly with the M15A VVT engine that was installed. I just wish I had been given the choice whether or not to proceed when they realised my car was non VVT ( which should have been when they looked at the registration plate and saw it was pre 2005.
In addition to this and after having the car checked over by a local mechanic the oil filter has been on perpously stoved in to make it fit around the engine mount (when all you really need to do is fit the filter side on to the engine like the jimny), the car had starting problems and when examined one of the studs had stripped its threads causing the cable to be a loose fit, A top engine lifting support was rubbing into the top radiator hose and would have worn through, the lower steel panel covering the engine clutch housing was missing causing silt and mud to enter the clutch, the battery terminals were loose and now the engine management light wont come on when you turn on the ignition (I have yet to check if the bulb is still in), A bolt securing the exhaust manifold to the chassis was missing.
That's all I can remember for now, apart from that and the VVT issue it looks okay

Oh and Rhinoman. No the cylinder head from the VVT Swift/Ignis was fitted along with the engine.
