Sorry for long delay, a bit busy these days.

Test are pretty good show of something that calling safety, reliable, less friction, more horse power (YES, RIGHT! More horse power even with some oil's!)

And no, answer is no. It is a quolity that is to look in this test's. Some times we did have 2 oils of 10W60 and both same AP and GL. But they perform differently!!! One is barely keeping engine lubrificating, other one makes even more horse power how good is oil, how create and keep good film on the bearings and rings and cams and so on. lets not foget that in one engine is A LOT of friction! Good QUOLITY of oil can save the engine and even save some fuel! We find out that better quolity of oil really keeps GL5 level then some other oil's! So when they say that is XXX lubrification factor, then you ask your self is it really..... right? So after test's we find out that oil is still on XXX viscosity and some of them are not!

Sorry to resurrect an old thread, but I have a question on a specific oil.

I see some 10W40 oil by Triple QX here: www.carparts4less.co.uk/cp4l/p/accessori...?521776011&0&cc5_245 for a decent price. It doesn't specifically mention the SE/SF/SG/SH/SJ quality classification required in the Jimny manual. But surely it's good enough for a 2000 reg Jimny?! Does SL/CF (which the oil does meet) actually exceed the SJ quality requirements for a Jimny? I'm not quite clear how the different oil quality classifications relate to each other...

Thanks.
