My jimny has no diff breather pipes front or rear, god knows wherr they have gone. how deep in water can I effectively go without any on?

If you mean its a standard Jimny, then it doesn't have breather pipes.

A standard Jimny has small valve caps with a little rubber seal inside that opens to allow expansion and closes when contraction occurs. They are actually quite effective unless dirt gets inside them.

Yes it's standard, and I looked today as I'd seen some old posts about breathers and couldn't see any pipes haha. There was just a cap looking thing so that will be what you mean. So with these caps on the standard jimny, how deep can you go, without having to put the snorkel on and all that.

As standard they don't have pipes, but have a 1 way valve fitted to diffs, transfer box & gearbox instead, have a look at this site www.brookepeig.com/w/index.php?title=Ext..._of_the_Suzuki_Jimny

I believe standard wading depth is about 600mm
