Is there a preferred gasket sealant for this?

I use the black silicone sealant all the time and have lots of it - tempting - as it is only to make a seal...........isn't it?

Yes should just need to stop water getting. But the BJ stuff has anti corrosion properties as well. Worth just spending a fiver for proper stuff.

I'm a cheapskate and I don't know if the motor is worth extra cash but I guess I could order it along with spacers.
