Possibly. I have been running the sz viewer last couple of days and it seems stable but I have noticed that the TPS at idle is sometimes 0pc and sometimes 0.329pc and I was wondering about it. Thing is though I have only been monitoring it while it's been behaving. I have time this afternoon, I'll see if there is anything physically obvious with the sender later. It might just need the return spring lubricating, I seem to recall doing something similar to the blue one.

Well that is one less thing, there was a bit of debris on the throttle quadrant. The TPS is back reading 0pc again on the viewer.

Something has been suggested elsewhere,it could be some iffy fuel, though I don't really use anything than BP Esso or Shell but given the recent weather and the water solubilities of E10 it has got me wondering; given my imminent 4 hour drive to the jimny cafe meet could it be worth paying the extra and running a tank of e5 super unleaded to give everything a clean out? I know it won't make any performance improvement or anything like that but might it be worth while anyway? It won't be on the regular because I can't see how it can make enough improvement to the MPG to cover the disparity in cost.

I honestly have never seen any "iffy" fuel issues myself, I fill up at any forecourt and put in whatever is next to my tank these days, E10 or E5.
But why not, it won't do any harm. However the 4hr drive is more likely to clean things out on its own, so this will mask any fuel related improvement.
You already use "branded" fuels, so these should have the extra detergent additives they tend to get over supermarket, so E5 or E10 should be much the same (Ethanol aside).
I put E5 in when I tow on the assumption it must be helping to poor little 1.3 with the task, truth is I can't tell any difference in the real world.

Very true. I have just been looking at the maths and for me and my regular use to make it work I would need anything over another 25 miles from a tank which I think is a big ask in reality given a good tank is currently giving me 150 miles and a bad one is 130 miles. Both cases are with a 4 to 5 litre reserve as I try to fill up as soon or just before the light.

How often does your Jimny flip between OK and the need to be "driven". Daily thing or just every now and again?
Trying to determine if you can tests things when at fault or its just too irregular.
