I first noticed it 5 weeks ago as a bad week, the week after wasn't too bad then another bad week and the last couple have been quite good. It's entirely possible there's been an issue for longer I just haven't thought about it as the symptoms are quite vague and not very obvious unless you really think about it.

If memory serves I think they were both Shell from the same garage. This may just be a coincidence.

Ok that's going to be difficult to pin down. I hope the problem goes away, the garage fuel may be a coincidence, but how can you tell?

I had similar on my Yamaha TRX on the way to France. Ran 100% fine all the way to Dover, but rain forced a dry out and a fuel stop at Shell station (coincidence mk2  ). After this the bike refused to pull. Started, ticked over and revved fine, but under load struggled to accelerate.
BAD FUEL - would be the cry as to a possible cause.
Over the following weeks in France the fault slowly reduced as I filled up and dropped the fuel, but it never went away.. I have subsequently stripped /cleaned / replaced everything and to this day, the bike still hesitates as it pulls out of corners under load. BUT - I have noticed over the years of living with the problem that it only happen in damp cold weather

So was it Bad fuel or just the damp interfering with the mixture?????

I've no idea, but its not electrical. If I wash the bike and soak the electrics it runs fine, its just humid  air that causes the problem!

Suggestions on a post card!

Yokohama Geolanders, Sony head unit, NAUTILUS Air Horn, DRL conversion, Rear cargo space, Elvis Bobblehead, transfer Guard, Indian hanging Elephant, Koni Heavy track dampers, Custom SS exhaust, Voodoo Doll, Adventure Rack with LED ight bar, vintage ERIBA caravan usually attached (yes it's slow)

Well today has shed light on something but I'm not sure what. I have just done a pre mot on Spare Jimny, it has highlighted that compared to Temeraire the brakes on Spare feel very much firmer on the pedal but they both stop just as well as eachother, I'll be interested to see what the rollers say on the test. I have also noticed that Temeraire feels stronger/more responsive/quicker/better at gliding, but at the same time not as tight cornering. I think the long and short of it is that I am going to have to keep monitoring the situation but it might be as good as it gets.

Well this week has been a good week, 23.5 MPG which I'm not unhappy with at all. Have decided against super unleaded as the normal stuff is currently 152.⁹p mostly due to the Harrogate tax.
