After abit of advice on a 2 inch lift, I can't make my mind up between the JimnyBits Pro Comp kit or the Black Raptor kit any advice on which is best? Which one is great off road but on road aswell?
And should I throw is some castor correction bushes and the brake balance correction bracket aswell?
Thanks

Pro Comp is the brand of shocks. They are not Jimny specific, just some that happen to fit the Jimny. The springs are custom made for JimnyBits. I don't know the spring rates for the JimnyBits springs but I imagine it's higher than the standard springs because they are normally designed to compensate for the extra weight we apparently all carry. Taller and stiffer springs mean it will flex less off-road and be firmer on-road. The pro-comp shocks won't make much difference at slow speeds off-road but the ride on-road won't be as good as standard.

The Black Raptor kit is just spacers for the standard springs and shocks, so will give the same ride and articulation as standard (pretty good IMO) but make everything 2 inches higher.

In theory the JimnyBits kit will give you more suspension travel, but because the springs are stiffer but you aren't increasing the vehicle weight you won't be able to use the extra travel. I'd go with the spacers or save up for a branded lift kit that is designed specifically for the Jimny like TrailMaster.

One thing I don't want to sacrifice is my on road ride but that may be hard to achieve.
Will the Trail Master springs be able to handle an ARB bull bar? Which will be next on the list

I have the Pro Comp kit from JimnyBits on mine and find it fine offroad. :)
Yes the ride is a little harder when empty but with all my kit in the back it rides ok.
One advantage of the stiffer ride is on a twisty road it has lost a lot of the body roll
and feels a lot safer if you are pushing on a bit.

3 inch trial master springs on the front will balance out the weight of the bumper. I think this is what TomDK runs and he knows his stuff when it comes to suspension!

1066, if the suspension is stiff enough to reduce body roll on road it will definitely be reducing the articulation you get off road compared to standard springs.

Front springs on the rear and spacers on the front is a good compromise. You get the right spring rates and it's cheap. S200KYS has done this on his latest build. I've been running front springs on the rear for a while and it all works as normal.
