My stainless ones have been on for a good few years and have happily survived the stones, branches, twigs and other debris that caught in them. They have dragged quite large branches behind the car in the past.

My stainless ones have been on 10 years now, and to be honest they look like it ! covered in waxoyl, mud etc but they have never needed changing whereas rubber ones do perish in time.

My standard rubber hoses have been on for 13 years as far as I can tell, and working in forestry conditions for the past 2 of them...

thanks guys for everyone's input, thought I 'd share my findings, conclusions as may be of interest ...

appears as if custom brake line makers can only make S/S braided ones as they don't have capability to make custom standard rubber lines.

from what I've gathered looks like extended Jimny lines are +5 inch (+125mm)

there are only 3 flexible lines .... standard length details below:

front right 560mm
EQUIVALENT TO PARTS: BFH3667, LH6323, BH778145, HOS3206, PHD450

front left 510mm

EQUIVALENT TO PARTS: BFH3666, BH778144, LH6322, HOS3205, PHD431

rear 380mm
EQUIVALENT TO PARTS: BFH3696, BH778347, 51560-81A00, 5156081A00

for S/S lines you can't beat Mr Lines :pinch:

... order going in soon

;)
