When my crank sensor went it threw a code for the crank sensor!
I agree it's likely to be the crank sensor and that everyone that has touched it before now ought to be asked why they could not diagnose it, if I turns out to be that.
The trouble with dealers is they see a few codes and don't know what to do. The symptoms of the problem can cause several codes but listening to the owner about what symptoms have been experienced helps make sense of it.
I imagine at a dealer the "technician" (I hate that word - what's wrong with mechanics) never speaks to the owner and the counter staff that book the car in water down the explanation of what's happened - probably because they don't understand or even care.

Any fault that occurs will stay logged on the system untill it is manually removed so if it is the crank or cam sensor this will show on a diagnostic
If you have a smartphone get an £8 bluetooth adapter from ebay and the the app ''torque'' you can then check and clear any codes yourself

The cam sensor fault won't stay logged on early models and will only be flagged during cranking.

Thank you all for your help and advice. We will be checking the camshaft sensor. If I need it replaced can I purchase it from Big Jimny?
I do hope so! this has been a real eye opener, just wished I found this site before, it would have cost me money. We are going to ask the Suzuki dealer for a refund, as they diagnosed the fault incorrectly and charged me £90 per hour diagnose charge(1.5 hrs paid for)
I do hope Im on the road to success with this, as I cannot afford any more funds going into the car!
thanks again, and keep Jimnying!!!

Crankshaft sensor.
How did they diagnose the "fault" most garages will plug it into a code reader for 30 odd pound? !
Dont think martin sells them, I got my crankshaft sensor off ebay a blueprint one so the same as eurocarparts think it was 25 pound.
