The above is correct but seeing as the odometer and speedo are different components if the milage is the same as the yea before its still not a fail ill have a read up tommorrow and see how thay define clearly not working

Well let that be a lesson for you all check your lights and washers before you take your car in for an mot, and if the speedo's not working get it sorted or you probably get done for speeding sooner or later. :lol:

"speedo clearly inoperative" is a reason for rejection so they we're right to fail it on that. :)
