On b&q looking for a 1mm mettle cutter :D

We have a industrial type grinder only with a 8 inch disc on its a beast lmao

Was going to mark up and mask off nearly and use a plastic jigsaw bit if they do them!

I used a 10 inch on mine and made a neat job of it but im a master of the grinder

The 235's do make quite a difference to the gearing you'll find it a lot slower on the road and you'll probably ride the clutch more off road.


this may sound stupid but why does the tyre width cause all these issues? Is it just down to the amount of rubber touching the ground and therefore increasing friction/grip?

I would have expected the tyre height (the 75 aspect of the 235/75/R15) to cause problems as it would increase the overall circumfrence and so affect gearing etc.

I were told 215/75/15 is the most to go before effecting gearing etc, so far so good!

recently fitted 215/75/15 has made speedo spot on, acceleration for overtaking non existent and top speed not much different cos it depends on balls not gearing in a Jimny! 3" lift (actually 4" difference) means nothing catches but I bet 235s on a 2" lift will grind like mad. Not in to trimming, it looks good as it is!
