When you say it "copes" what are the pitfalls on using the standard Jimny ECU? Does it need remapping? Is that possible to do with the standard ECU or would a piggy back be required?
I want to do the swap but don't want to find it just runs.... I want it to run properly with correct AFR, timing etc so it's producing full power with no lumpy idle or rough spots in the rev range.

That was quick - three hours ago you were just looking!
The Liana engine will only fit Jimnys with an M13 engine so you need to check which engine you have. The 1.3 ECU isn't ideal but it copes, you need the Liana injectors.

Ive had mine in since july ish and done a few mile,runs spot on,no lumpy idle,better on fuel than the 1.3,no fault codes have cropped up,doesnt have to be revved as hard and if you give it a bootfull 70 comes round quite quickly.
Ive done a couple of jobs on a friends jimny today and its just running the 1.3 i forgot how sluggish they are especially under 4k.

With the Liana just remember VVT or Non VVT. All the M16a engines are the same otherwise.
M13a = M16a
M13a VVT = M16a VVT
M13a = M16a
M13a VVT = M16a VVT
