I took my Gen 4 for a trial at our local club.
The other vehicles there are mostly Land Rovers, usually one of the 90s wins, but this month it was a Jimny which won, going clean in all 10 rounds.
Sadly it wasn't my Jimny (I got stuck on two stages and had to be towed out of one), but a Gen 3 with 3" lift and Insa Turbo Special Tracks.
The guy only got it a couple of weeks ago and it was good to see him beat the LRs.
A couple of photos of the winner
Yes that is a Panda 4x4 and yes it did go round the course (mostly).

Put my transfer case back together with the too big gears inside. Wich makes it a bit of a pain. Will post a small tip on the subject with pictures.
Now it has two new bearings.
One thanks to Martin and one thanks to a local motorbike garage. New seals also. I counted three in stock before I begun but when it came to the point that I was to put it back in there was one missing. But found a new seal at a well stocked local hardware store.
Suprised that local hardware stores still exist.

I fitted some mudflaps to my Gen 4 Jimny.
Suzuki’s version is ridiculously overpriced. I bought some instead from Predator at about 15% the price. However, I have now been reminded again that in this world you generally get what you pay for.
To be fair, there is nothing wrong with the mudflaps themselves and they arrived quickly. But they came without any fitting instructions, two screws were missing and the rear mudflap is to be partly held in place by some flimsy plastic screws into flimsy plastic housings. I improvised a more robust solution but all this made what should have been a straightforward installation a time-consuming and frustrating annoyance, involving much crawling around the ground on a bitterly cold February morning.
Looking at the Predator website, several of their products are actually advertised as coming without instructions. This could be solved with a few PDFs on the website or some short You-tube videos. Sadly, helping the customer doesn’t seem to be a priority so this customer will help himself in future and go elsewhere.

Credit where credit is due.
I left a similar review to the above on eBay. Predator contacted me and refunded my costs in replacing their fitting kit and said they are looking at the quality of the kit and at providing fitting instructions. While I stand by my original review - and will never get back the time wasted - I cannot fault their response.
