On the 13/10/14 in the early hours I had a form of stroke. It's a bit of an odd case as I'm only 36 and it happened in my left occipital lobe, currently reducing the field of view in my right eye. This has been improving though and I hope for but can't necessarily expect full visual recovery.

Obviously I can't drive for a bit, have to get my Dr's agreement first and have a long road to recovery.

It came from a bleed in the brain but I also weirdly had a clot in a lung. This confused all the Doctors somewhat as to how I managed to bleed & clot at the same time!

No one knows why it happened in view of my age but anti coagulants will stop it again with healthy eating and in time exercise.

This was a very scary time. When it happened I woke in the middle of the night and couldn't create a thought. Like I couldn't think how to turn the light on or wake the Mrs laying next to me. So I went back to sleep.

In the morning I was better but was confused. I've lived in our house just shy of 6 years but when locking the back door to go to the doctors I didn't know what to do with the key!

I'm home now though and on the mend.

If any of you come into contact with a stroke sufferer, take it from me, they have been and maybe still are in a very dark and scarey place!
