It depends on the age of your car as the wiring changed slightly hence the different colours.
Easy way to check is remove your rear lenses and see which wire goes where ;)

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

there aren't enough colours in the paintbox (and men can only see 16 :laugh: ) so they colour the wires with a main colour (red) and have a thin stripe of another colour (yellow) the "trace".

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

Thanks, I read it wrong!

All done, one fitted tow bar with fully functioning electrics. Just that niggling worry about the exhaust box sat on the cross member that I cant really do anything about.

My thanks to all those who offered me guidance and for being patient! I hope my problems may help some other person who decides to go the DIY route! :)
