there aren't enough colours in the paintbox (and men can only see 16
) so they colour the wires with a main colour (red) and have a thin stripe of another colour (yellow) the "trace".
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

Thanks, I read it wrong!
All done, one fitted tow bar with fully functioning electrics. Just that niggling worry about the exhaust box sat on the cross member that I cant really do anything about.
My thanks to all those who offered me guidance and for being patient! I hope my problems may help some other person who decides to go the DIY route!
