Once again, very grateful. Put it to bed for now, will do wiring tomorrow. Have got cable fed up into right area. Trim etc off, so once I can get my head around the wiring, it will be done. Thanks for that Gilburton, I`ll worry about the exhaust later I think! I have an audible relay supplied with my kit, is it essential as it complicates things somewhat? On the how to section it doesnt mention the earth?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configuration

The mount on the right is why the bumper has to come off to fit the box.
You can't thread the box through the towbar bracket and get the mount to go through the rubber, as the box wont push far enough back to stretch the pin into the rubber. You have to get your hand to the rubber, you might reach over the box if the car is on a two poster, but I can't do it with my back on the floor, so I have to reach over the towbar through the gap where the bumper was.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there :)

I put the earth wire to the body. I believe you can splice into the rear lights, but it was easier for me to take the multicore cable up through the grommet where the lighting cable enters the bumper area (near side rear corner) and solder the wires into the loom behind the side panel. Fortunately for me I've done the rear seat removal mod.

2012 Jimny Black. Totally standard (except for rear seat removal mod).

I believe the buzzer is a legal requirement now.

I started off high and worked my way down ever since :-)

I didn't fit the audible relay

no testing occurs on 9 pin sockets but 13 pin ones are tested for MOTs

A warning device has to be fitted but not necessarily audio. A warning light is ok

Dilemma innit as they don't check the small socket so won't ever know.

I suppose a number of things are obligatory in construction and use but not tested.

I tagged both the left and right rear side light (tow at black and brown) to the vehicle red with yellow trace. Hope that's of help.
