Having discovered the vacuum pipes look in a bad state, I've decided to replace them with new, and came across these on ebay. Has any one replaced their pipes with this blue silicon pipework. Did you find it was up to the job.
Is it a diificuit job to do ?
Thanks for any feed back..
Tony.

If its soft silicon will it not collapse under the vacuum. Surely a rigid or semi-rigid pipe is better?

Hi Martin,
I did write to your store if they could supply me wih new vac pipes a few days ago, I'm having two sets of King pin bearing sent over from you at the moment, will arrive soon to Bulgaria, I just noticed my vac pipes are pretty worn while I was preparing for the King pins bearing work.
I'd rather use orginal parts if you can supply them..As I take your point on soft material.
Cheers

Yes, I don't do these pipes. I was just emphasising to check that they will take the vacuum.
THe vacuum is quite low - 5.7 PSI or 40Kpa is the minimum for the system but I would ask the vendor what the hose is specified to.

It looks like it is this stuff
www.demon-tweeks.co.uk/performance/vacuu...bing-silicone-rubber
From these people
www.samcosport.com/uk/rp_vacuum_tubing.asp
It looks like people use it for mechanical boost gauges that display between -1 and +2 BAR which is over 14psi of vacuum at the lower extreme which suggests its ok for 5 PSI of vacuum
