I dunno, something isn't right There, I was very careful to not excert any pressure on the seal when fitting That long half shaft but it's awkward seating it without leaning on The seal somewhat...
Maybe I shouldn't seat the seal until after I've located the end of the shaft? I. E slide it on the shaft the push the seal home once the shaft is located? Not sure there's enough room though?

well went to local mechanic, £65 later diagnosed as badly warped disc on the mot rolling road! I wasn't believing this totally but thought hey hes the pro, new discs and all fixed!!! what the hell lol... well it must have been the bad disc throwing it into a death wobble cause it definitely was just a warped disc I was feeling... at least we have new trackrods and kingpins x4 and new drop links and panhard bushes all well worn anyway.
great news I guess!-)
