I'll definitely be changing the gear oil. Once I'm ready for a clutch change, I will take the gearbox off and get it sorted out. I'll take it easy shifting into second for the time being.

The gearboxes are pretty lumpy so it could well be "normal"
Where is the clutch "bite"? It could be that the cable needs adjusting.

The clutch bite is about 3/4 of the way up the pedal travel. All other gears are fine. I'll give that a try also.
I think I may need to rent a shed out to get the work done that I want. :lol: It's going to be cold for a while and more jobs like this keep appearing. :pinch:

Just had a read of the manual. Will have a check of the distances mentioned in there for the clutch operation.
