we have jimnys in the portuguese forums that go thru hard lifes, river crossings,mud, low maintenance, and i am yet to see one with a rust problem, apart from the ocasional surface rust due to some oil dripping that wasn't properly cleaned.
the uk is the scary campfire story the samurais told the jimnys
