Rear silencer was created by Daniel30
As I'm in rust prevention mode I have been under the back of the jimny, The rear silencer is rotten and the heat shield rattles so had a look at the first join and the nuts are rotten, the next join with the spring things on I can't move the nuts so do I cut the back box off and get something to rejoin the new back box on?
Cheers

could make sense to get the rear pipe section at the same time

less than £30 from local autoparts supplier

;)

Yeah think I would but I don't know how to attach it everything is seized so I was wondering if I cut the exhaust just after the springy thing could I attach the new bit that would attach to the new backbox

keep trying to loosen the bolts - penetrant and hammers (or get garage to apply heat) or just grind the bolts/nuts off and get new ones
