Question about Springs and lift

Regarding Pro Comp, as far as I'm aware they don't make a specific shock for the Jimny, although I'd be happy to be proved wrong! So for now, we can only presume those sold are either designed for a different (heavier?) car, or 'universal' shocks that are, at best, a compromise. I've never heard any good reviews of them on Jimnys. Even the softest ES1000s are criticised for being stiff.
Now forgive me for sounding sceptical about the kits you are advising people to buy, but when you can get bits to put a 2" lift together for £100 off ebay, why would you risk spending another £250 for a lift kit with stiff springs and poorly matched, 'will-fit' shock absorbers?

We shall not agree so I'll agree to disagree.

It's a discussion, not a fight. I'm not out to win anything, I'm just an impartial guy who wants everyone to get the most accurate information possible!
So it's big squishy man hugs all around

It's a great discussion, but I'm not into man hugs
tying this thread in with Dyl's rubbing issue
I was thinking of a the trailmaster lift in the not too distant future, but wasn't aware of the lean issues re: spring spacer
and it is very expensive, and I would be well into a cheap (but good - should maybe say value) cobbled together 2" lift with good road comfort.
I have heard others are using different vehicle springs on their trucks and think this discussion is very interesting.
please feel free to keep the discussion going chaps.
