front drive engaging?
50 mmHg = 6.66611842 kilopascals. I had a search about for front hub vacuum seals, but can't seem to see anything anywhere. Perhaps I'm not using their correct/technical name.

Remove the black freewheel unit, and blow through the two vacuum ports on the hub to check that they are not blocked.
If there is free passage through all 4 of them, you will have to check that one or both hubs haven't had the pipes crossed over,
If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there

I gave the vacuum ports a good air blasting and prodding with a wire, but couldn't see any difference and I've checked the correct hose is operating, at the hub. Hopefully I'll find out if the port is the problem once I get a vacuum on it. It could be that the mating between the hub port and the pipe is worn.

I'll convert to pressurised operation sometime in the future.
Pull both hub lines from the solenoids (they point to the rear) make sure they have no vacuum leaks there.

Pressurised option? Do you mean the manual hubs? I'm not keen on shifting to those just yet. Cost is the first reason and secondly, I don't really want to get my feet wet changing to 4WD

I've confirmed that there's a vacuum present down tot he hubs, but I can't confirm if they are correct pressures as I don't have means of measuring the vacuum pressure. I'll find out when some kit I've ordered arrives. Hopefully before the weekend.

On the nearside one it engages at 10kPa and takes 40Kpa to disengage.
That is with putting the pump on to the hub nipples, top to engage front middle to disengae
On the offside the pump holds 50kpa but the hub does not engage.
If I manually put the autohub in 4WD and put it back on with 40kPa it makes an effort to disconnect via the front side nipple.
I assume I have grease in one or both of the vacuum tubes in the offside hub so wil have to clean it out.
The vacuum pump them went faulty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
