From your latest report I would be querying how they checked the exhaust! A intermittent blocked cat looks favourite to me.

I had a similar issue on my 07 plated Jimny. The issue was even worse if i'd parked the car in hot sunshine - in mid summer. Upon start up the car was very lumpy, struggled to idle and went about 20mph driving eratically. Massive power loss. Whe cooled down and switched off/on the problem went away then would return again. Looked under the cat and there was a small slit-hole aroung the cat convertor. Surprising as i'h had a new stainless steel exhaust fitted awith a new cat only 2 years previouly. The cat had blown and disintegrated and aong with the small gap was causing te problem. It also caused the whole exhaust to be red hot and smelled of burning. The cat was replaced and all was oK. I'd definately get the cat replaced if I were you given your symproms and the sensors that have already been replaced.

Its now in Stoneacre, the nearest suzuki garage, seeing how much it will take to fix.... There are so many variations on what it could be, i cant take any more chances just trying various things (or afford them).

Thank you all for trying to help me, they all were sound ideas but unfortunately my car seems to not be playing along.

Pam x

Have you got a spark on all 4 cylinders when it was running rough? As I said above, the fault on mine was a damaged wiring loom, causing an intermitent lack of spark on 2 cylinders. This was causing unburnt fuel to enter the cat, causing it to glow red hot. You should check for a spark on all cylinders.
