I'm using bmw main power cables for my winch so should be good wire if bmw use them and they seem to be doing good

Has nothing to do with who uses them. No matter if it's BMW, Mercedes or Rolls Royce, the cables need to big enough to take the AMPs. And no starter motor draws as many amps as a winch motor.
35mm2 cable is decent for shorter distances, like battery under bonnet. But with battery the boot, no less than 50 mm2.
Your optima is 50 Ah, not 95.

50 mm2 cables would no doubt be the best choice. But if on a budget, you can do with 35 mm2.

I'll get 50mm ones as I would like it to last would it be best to get that from a car audio place or a motor factors
