Does anyone have a CV joint to hand?

If so can you count the balls and tell me how many you can see.

there are 2 types of CV

old style
44101-81A00
44102-81A00

new style
44101-84A00
44102-84A00

By the number of splines on the hub side and from the differential, they are the same 26 and 22.

By the number of spline in CV joint:
-the old version have 19 splines and 6-ball
-the new version have 29 splines and 8-ball

If you have a 6 ball CV then this company:

www.cpsdrivelink.co.uk/

offers a postal refurb service for £40 per joint (plus postage). However they only have a 6 ball machine so they cannot do the later ones (I had hoped they were all 6 ball)
