I recall that the injectors are a different colour and deliver more fuel per pulse on the bigger engines, then the jimmny ecu can cope.
If you use a 1.8 injectors (as it is correct ) is possible that the jimny fuel pump does not supply them reach and pressure decreases.
check the injection pressure (with a adecuate manometer) in wide open throttle (WOT) and the maximum number of engine rpm conditions (in the dinamometer or highway)
The fuel pressure must be maintained at the levels indicated by the Suzuki 1.8 engine
Otherwise install a high flow fuel pump (the jimny fuel pump can be very small for 1.8 fuel demand)
