But should i tap lock and unlock wire into the one ive found?

When I installed mine, I found there was a couple of different wiring looms for the Jimny based on their age.
I didn't need to add any motors, just tapped into the wires in the loom to the side of the radio.
The main issue I has was getting the indicators to flash, which required a relay due to the negative switching.

If yours is an early jimny the door lock has one less wire than the layer m13a ones, ids a doodle on the m13 but the g13 on mine i have up! Separate solenoid would be the way,
