Admittedly the shocks are designed for a car with a bit of weight and mine hasn't got winch or cage or anything fitted so might change the characteristics.
They are a lot thicker than standard, would have rubbed on the rear if I didn't fit relocators, off road they soak up everything quite nicely. Overall happy bunny.

I agree with you about stock suspension the ride is pretty shocking even on road, have to slow down for speed bumps feels jolty as hell! Offroad you feel every stone.
That's the thing with all budget shocks for the Jimny. The ES1000 shocks are also for heavy US trucks.
If you want it custom made for the Jimny, then it's gonna cost.
ES3000 are nothing like coilovers.
At least not coilovers for 4x4 racing

These are probably some of the better shocks made particularly for the Jimny. More expensive than Pro Comp and Rough Country, and only comes in standard length.

Or these, perhaps even better:

I ment they were stiffer than I expected, might have been a slight exaggeration

So regarding shocks it basicaly boils down to cost as both the es1000 and n2.0 seem to be firmer but ride better from whats been said, no one has come along and said "X is better for your requirements" so budget will be the deciding factor.
Although the silver and red shock body and red gaiter on the n2.0 would probably "look" nice on my silver jim

and I always say you get what you pay for and I believe the n2.0 are slightly more money so stands to reason are a better product.
