Yes I see that. It is a frequent problem especially with smaller vehicles. And if it is bouncing around.
This was just the reason I used my seat adjuster brackets which are a little different from the usual flat type in that they take the seat back two to three inches but also raise it 50mm. You can just see that in the pic I think. I am 6' 1".
Cut it off!! NOT your knee. lol

I cannot remember if there is much harness there to allow much repositioning but I think not so you might have to do some harness mods. I still think some sort of cushioning device might help, perhaps a mix of hardboard, sponge and cloth material.

Ask Kiethy about door cards and window switches. I remember he was messing about making a model for speakers in the door, which looked like it had promise for moving the window switches. Dont know if any ever got made.

Also do you have any of Dave's seat relocator things? Designed for the taller chap, these might help.

Finally, I have a set of OMP race seats for sale, which keep you so snug that your knee never hits the switches, but do give a numb arse and are hard to get in/out of

This may work with minimal adjustment of the loom - switch from a VW Corrado (and others I think) that sit flush with the door panel.... also lets you keep both switches on the drivers side

Sadly jimny-less but still got the bug!

As it's related to the topic, I've been looking for seat rail adapters like the one's Mud advertise for the defender.
Any info?
