does the original inlet hole fit into the airbox? might just be cut the end off it to do that?

Dave that's the way i fitted my short Snorkel
Used the most forward elbow and retained the rubber seal on back of airbox
Also used silicone sealant
But as your's is Road going sealant may not be required
On the other hand my engine cuts out when I cover the top
but my first venture into deep water will be a heart thumping for sure

Bit more this afters...
This is how the air gubbins used to sit... so as Riccy implied the elbow is the input into the gubbins, not the output into the air box...
But...
I was convinced that was what was needed... so out came the angle grinder, and a tidy up with emery paper...
I was struggling to work up inside the wing, so decided to detach the top bolts and work down instead of up... much easier!
Some black sealant first...
And from the top it was a lot easier to get the studs, washers and nuts on...
And then get the hose on and tighten the jubilee clip
Et Volia!
Just lots of tidying up and reattaching things in the engine bay to do...
Tube lines up nicely though
Don't forget to block the drain hole! Or your snorkel is useless!...

very tidy end result
That reminds me... i forgot to bung up that hole in the bottom of the airbox on mine
Got mine running on the new diffs, t-box and lockers today - OMG what a difference! It needs the brakes bleeding some more but its more responsive on the new drivetrain, and i can now keep going with only one wheel having traction
Now to find somewhere to test it out
