Obviously I can't speak for lv but it sounds a fair price on the basis of the pictures you have posted.

Here's what they say... The buggers!

I can confirm that our engineers have deemed your vehicle a total loss,

From their review, they feel the costs of the vehicle to be £2400 and if you would look to retain your vehicle like you advised the offer we would make is £1500,

If you can get back to myself when you can on whether you accept this offer and I can discuss this further,

Feel for you  which ever way you look you will loose out with insurance, what you going to do I would first try for a bit more and after that just change the front wing leave the rest as battle scars and treat yourself to something With rest of the money ;)

What they are saying there is that it would cost them more than 1500 to repair the car and that in its current state it is worth 900 bringing you to the value of the car. I would suggest that for 1500 if you used second hand parts it would be possible to make a decent job of the repair especially if your bodyshop has some actual flair and don't just bolt on new panels and paint. By all means fish for more money if you disagree with the 2400 valuation but on the face of it that seems a fair offer saving the aggravation of having to sort out the actual repair.
