I love the blogs as well
The issue with facebook for me is the un-structure stream of information. It is on your screen for a few seconds and then scrolls off the bottom. There is no conversation that runs much longer than 24hours.
And, of course, this forum automatically feeds Facebook and Twitter. - FB: BigJimny4x4 and @BigJimny - so you can see when new threads are opened. It also supports Tapatalk.
The main part of the website is a multi-user blog system so people can even write articles/blog to the front pages of the site.

Yes, it can be a bit chaotic at times, but there's no denying its popularity and subsequent impact on a lot of forum-based groups (this one excluded). You now have the ability to search within facebook groups, which makes accessing info a lot easier. It's very fast moving though.

Keep the blogs going Dave, ive read every one of them on your own site.
As for Facebook I will never be a member, but as you say it has killed a lot of forums, which imo does not say much about the members of those forums
