The shafts are a larger diameter then Jimny shafts and thus I would expect them to be stronger than the smaller diameter Jimny items assuming that all other things stay the same ie quality of the steel etc. I understood that trail gear 4340 shafts were pretty damn good. Then there is the small issue of the price difference!

The shafts you mention. They're 26 spline Trail Gear right? They're exactly the same as the ones for a jimny. Just a bit shorter to fit the narrower samurai axle. No difference in strength.

Yes thanks Tom. I thought for some reason they were thicker but as you say they are the same. Good job I'm selling them a lot cheaper then 😄

The front axle you have for sale with HD shafts, CVs and airlocker for £600 is a good price, no question :-)

My only concern with axle swaps is if the brackets are 100% straight and correctly welded on so the axles are parallel.

Hi Mike correct me if I'm wrong but I thought the Jimny diff in your sj axle was running with sj side gears so you could fit bigger shafts and cv joints than the Jimny uses.

Sj/ jimny side gears from rear axle are needed to fit 26 spline shafts.
