does anyone do a steel nudge bar that will fit? ideally after an unchrommed one because all the ones i have seen dont have provision for spots and i dont want to mess up chrome welding in brakets. ( hopefully want to fit KC daylighters)

I believe that such things are illegal to sell for pedestrian safety reasons, though they can be fitted to vehicles over a certain age but I can't remember what, 07 seems to ring a bell but don't quote me. Plastic or deformable ones are fine. There is a loophole to allow the fitting of a winch carrier like the Australian ARB bumpers with the roo bars but that seems a bit ott just to have a spotlight carrier. Your other alternative is one of the little spot bars used in classic car and rally circles they come in many different sizes and styles and are designed for the job.

Yes I think your right 11/60 I ask the question about aftermarket winch bumpers and there was some discussion about mounting them on a 07 jimny weather it was legal or not

Streetfighterjeff if you search for spotlight bar on the site a chap has fitted a bush bar from devon4x4 that looks good hope this helps ;)

Does that mean that 07 plates and older are legal, or 07 and newer are illegal to have them?

Might be looking at another Jimny, and seen a fair few 07 plates for sale.
