Hi J999pre!

It is a manual and i'm based near Blairgowrie in scotland.

If i can get the shock/axle problem fixed, i intend on taking it to my friend who is a mechanic in Edinburgh and hopefully he will let me know what else needs to be changed/reinforced etc.

Where are you based, if the axle is in good nick i'd be interested in it, i have a quote now for £150, but i don't know what condition it is in.

Regarding earlier comments, i don't know where it was kept before i bought it, i bought it from a guy near glasgow so not sea side there! My father was a mechanic and always complained about the amount of salt that gets spread on the roads here and puts most erosion down to that!

£150 local to you sounds ok. Just make sure to ask about if the handbrake cables are on it and if the wheel bearings are good

Hey Ivan, I've just seen wher you are, have you tried Dalcrue?

On the 8th Day God made the LandRover -
On the 9th day he swapped it for a Jimny.
