Thinking about the Ragtop, I reckon you could build a gun-safe into the rear swing door. Just make an alloy checkerplate skin and concealed hinges. The space available is approximately 900mm x 400mm x 100mm but you could make it a bit deeper than the original. This would seem to make good use of dead space and would not be very apparent to casual observers. The more I think of it, the better I like it

Under the floor is a good shout. There is a small depression where the rear seat bases are/were. Raise the rest of the floor by another inch and it'd make enough space for a couple of guns in slips.

I reckon the rear door would work with shotguns, if you took the barrels off. Not gonna work with a rifle though.

I agree with what Busta said above, remove seats and create a new floor high enough to take the guns. Just make it level from front to back, chequer plate to top and you still have a good base to stand and shoot from. The top could be hinged so it lifts and add a lock to the vertical up stand at the rear.
