Brake caliper was created by mickt
The MOT saga continues! I decided to smarten up the brake calipers on the front. Clean them, de-rust and paint them. After,or more accurately during, removal I found the sliding pins stuck, one on each caliper. The nearside one freed off easily with a bit of easing oil and a wire brush. Unfortunately one pin on the offside would not budge, even using my 10 ton press! I ended up using my oxy/acc. torch to break the rust hold and drove the pin out. Of course doing that meant the pin dirt seals were damaged beyond repair. Anyone know where these can be obtained along with a couple of new pins?

Big red don't seem to do them for the Jimny according to their website.
I have sourced one for £60 from a company at www.buypartsby.co.uk . I think postage is on top of that
j999pre has a second hand good one for £40 posted.
It seems a shame to have to fork out that sort of money for a couple of pins and gaiters. I was hoping somebody knew a company who overall calipers and would have the bits I need.

Just got off the phone to "buypartsby" and although the site lets you "buy" a caliper apparently they don't have any! You have to pay an extra £60 to cover the cost of sending your old one back as well!
