Cheers all, euro parts reckon they have them in stock in my local branch so I'm off there this morning, hope they have the right bleeding part but they did ask for my reg so should be ok. I've basically got all weekend to fit em and I have done it before just not on the jimny. I just get a bit twitchy with things like brakes cos once you've stared there's no driving it round the corner to the garage.
My local garage wants £85 to fit shoes and pads, just fitting, guess it's not unreasonable but I'd rather do it myself.
Will most likely be posting later today asking how to replace a finger. Ho hum

Get Pagid brake parts, they are pretty good. They are used on Audi/VW's etc and I have had no problems on both my cars.

If it suddenly breaks, go back to the last thing that you did before it broke and start looking there
When you do them, take a quick photo, and mark the adjuster rod forks on the outside both ends.
It helps if you only take apart one side at a time, so you can look at the assembled one on the other side.
It is perfectly possible to assemble this rod the wrong way round, and then it won't work, but looks fine, and I'm fairly sure the picture in the manual is backwards. (there is a step in the forked end for the lever)

So got the brakes no prob, got one side fitted no problem till a neighbour in my block of flats came along to tell me i was lowering the price of the properties doing such a thing! There was a bit of mud underneath but really?!
No he wasn't joking, I think the humour part of his brain was entirely devoted to being an arse, funny given that the rest of his brain seemed dedicated to being an arse too.
Mud now gone so if he has complaint when i do the other side I'm in a stronger position in informing the arse their may be more to life than being an arse and counting your money, i doubt it will have much effect but I can have fun demoing it,
