its the same footprint as mine, it just has a slide out bit on one side and the weight is the same

I'd opt for the right hand side so if I want to turn the ignition switch on or off acc for the radio or whatever then I wouldn't have to go around to the other side in the rain.

I'm in a similar buying/fitting stage. I'm thinking of putting it on the passenger side for the weight distribution and also the fact you are more likely to sit in the passenger side to relax I think with the awning pulled out (ok I know you'd have chairs/table too), also I like the rear door opening so you can get in to the back.
I need to suss out if there is a 'which side do you park your car next to your caravan etiquette' too
