Never had a hint of mine wanting to fall off the road and I zip around but not mad. People who roll standard Jimny's on the road are driving it way beyond it's capabilities. Jimny's are not dangerous.

Having taken a look at part two of that youtube video story it's quite interesting. Did the motoring publication/auto testers called CU lose the litigation and have to pay loses to Suzuki?

No they didn't I don't think. Poor Suzuki are still paying the price with people having a pre conceived idea with the Jimny, as you evidence yourself.

The Jimny has never been sold in the US and I don't wonder why at all!

I think the only issue would be at high speed and if you have any sense of self preservation you don't do high speed in a modified Jimny, even it it takes you all day to get up to a high speed!

yeah you just have to accept the jimny for what it is ( a 4x4) and drive accordingly. i have a lifted jimny with the arb removed permanently and it poses no hazards on road whatsoever when driven within its limits. i have driven many other 4x4's that handled way worse on road.

standard jimny - for now

I think they just got to the point where both sides ran out of money to keep pursuing it, the court case was settled without any resolution.

Some Suzukis and a bunch of motorcycles.

If your a relaxed and sensible driver you will be absolutely fine. Drive to the conditions and it will be no worse than any other car.

If you do push it then the back end does tend to step out quite readily, however in standard form you would have to push it fairly hard to manage it, and as you say you drive a route daily so I'm sure aren't going to be hammering round back roads

As has been said modifications will effect the drive and again you will have to adapt your driving to suit but so far I've been fairly impressed with mine.

I had to make a sharp evasive manoeuvre to avoid a flying silencer on a very wet a12 the other day at around 60mph, It handled it fine, a lot less body roll than I was expecting.

I certainly have never felt my jimny has been anywhere near to rolling even when being pushed.
