Suppliers include people "breaking for spares" on a regular basis, when purchasing spares members should ask a supplier what they contribute to the running of the forum particularly if contacted by a Private Message

I think so. it is no more than an ornament - supposedly to keep dust out; go figure. :whistle: I suppose it is useful so that when you have a knackered shaft oil seal you get leakage to show it's shot but it wouldn't be shot if the king pins didn't get kaput because of ingress. Hey we have a catch 22! :laugh: :laugh:
I know other's don't agree but it is such a pity that Suzuki did not whack on Vitara front suspension when developing the Jimny. I am searching for an old Vitara (auto) right now. If I find one the Jimny is adios amigo. :laugh:

If you seal it up then the movement of the wheel on the swivel will break that seal right away.

could you not get a rubber gasket made up which would perform better than the current fitted seal? might increase wear life
