Very poor fuel consumption was created by Big G
Hi guys
I'm new to all of this :(
I have just bought my wife a 2000 plate jimny
It's a nice car but the fuel consumption is very poor
We fill it up to the top about £60 and only get 200 miles
Out of it, is this the norm for these or is this just bad and
What can I do about it???
Any help would be great full!!

If its standard its a bit on the low side... On a full tank a standard jimny should be doing 32-36 mpg, maybe higher on a run. If you get 240 miles to a tank you are doing okay. Weather is cold at the mo and will drop your mpg a bit.

£60 in a jimny sounds a lot! I only ever fit max £50 in.

Welcome!
i have 2006 Jimny and i'm getting 220 to 240 and i'm a bit heavy footed!
I would have a look the lambda sensor ( change it) although i have know people take them out clean them up if very sooted and refit them.

technically yes as it would have been over fueling, but they not the most powerful beasties to start with.
Might be worth checking the plugs and air filter. Any idea when it was last serviced?
