Right then guys I have been having a look at some possible routes for an outing on Sunday 3rd March. After grateful donation from Benny of a COLOUR
photocopy of a TOR roadbook for the north york moors, I think we should go with this.
Now I am quite inexperienced at organising this sort of thing so after looking at the details of the route I propose we start at the carpark of the Milburn Arms Hotel Rosedale Abbey Pickering YO18 8RA. The route is 61 miles and an expected 6 - 7 hours finishing at the car park of the Crown Inn Hutton le Hole Pickering YO62 6UA. The guide recommends that the route can be accomplished in a standard Freelander with ATs (so should be easy for a Jimny) although there are a couple of Ford crossings which may be quite deep (depending on the weather) so a snorkel maybe advisable.
Given the information above can I suggest all interested meet in the Milburn Arms carpark for 10am on Sunday 3rd. Obviously upto a maximum of 5 vehicles (I have taken the liberty of pm's to all previously interested parties).
I will start off the bidding:
1. Smoggy
Can I suggest in the event of over subscription we can add a couple of names as standby incase anyone drops out last minute.
