Yeah I know mate sorry. Big problems with engine power as I think its on its last legs - 40mph flat out and really struggling to keep out of 1st gear on anything steeper than a 1 in 10

Are you sure I couldnt tempt you to this trip Mate. I just live at Gateshead and we could travel down together, last week it took about an hour to get there then we had a a great day and laughed all the way.
Crock, there are some challanging lanes up here but like most places one challanging lane is surrounded by average ones. There are also the Morpeth lanes with loads of river crossings In my experience if you want a challenge get to the Lakes but make sure you pick a day when passes are available and get them sorted early. If you fancy organising a trip I am up for it mate. I have nothing organiseed for up here at the moment and the only time I will be out before the 3rd is to get the tyres a bit muddy on Johns shiny Pajero (pasanger on our last trip) it will be very tame as he hasnt got past the horrer of his first scratch yet. :laugh:

hi if it was sat 2nd i can do it . but iam at work sunday 3rd i have a old total off road mag dec 09 with north york moors in it start at rosedale abbey (se 724 959) finish at hutton-le-hole (se 704 900) distance 61.7 miles time 6 hours os maps
