i don't see why you would want an unsprung wheel on the ground with dislocating springs it would still have no traction as there is no force pushing it down. making it fairly useless like a wheel in the air.

besides having the look at my awesome gap between my wheel and arch feel.

i cannot see the point of it. Unless there is something else there to push the wheel down to have traction like a second spring.

is a good point, simon and Xeng does something like that for the LR a spring within a sping

Try doing something like this without it. wheels on the ground = stability
