www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/detai...ck?da=1&TC=SRC-winch harness
hey mcjimny
what does the different colours mean on shackles as i've seen yellow, blue, green, black
I know that a coloured shackle mean its been tested but is there any difference between the colours?
our main shackles are black rat which are meant to be super strong and are black with yellow pins

no but they are quite large and we have had no problems with them on fixed strops (don't like kinetics ropes)
as the bridle spreads the strain over two shackels across the front or back of your jimny - the standard towing points would go first
if you are going to get serious repace the shackles with these black rat ones, these have been tested to survive double their rating

Well i've just picked up High lift jack, a 4.5 mtrr 14ton tow strap, 4 x 3.25t shackles and a 2 mtr bridle strap (makes sense to spread the load and not twist the chassis) from
www.slingsandstraps.co.uk/off-road-tow-straps
there are local to me, nipped and the guy has a Samurai and was very helpful and gavee me a great deal on the lot.
I have his contact details if your interested.
