Trolley Jack - Will this do? was created by Goat
Hi there,
Looking to get a trolley jack and some axle stands for the standard jimny so I can get underneath properly. I wondered if this would do Halfords 5 Piece Lifting Kit . Or would I need something that would lift the jimny higher?
Cheers
Nick

I have the same bits but bought separately. The jack is fine when used with the axle stands as the main support.

Id go with this for lift height
www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/product/detai...quick-lift-trolley-j
only problem is small saddle
The Halfrauds jack just wont go high enough and I think they are pants
OR
I get all my personal equipment from
www.acpservicesltd.co.uk/Garage-Equipment-Sales.php
I deal with these guys a'lot as I work for the one of the Leading garage equipment companies.
They would be able to supply a fully serviced Industrial trolley jack for not to many pennies, this is what I did, and a got a used quality jack with incredible lift height. Just look at the size of the saddles on the cheap jacks! I hate them.

Hi mate i think the halfords one is good for the price especially when they put them on special offer. They don't go as high as i would like so i use a block off wood to get the extra height. If i need to do anything under neith i just lift it with a FLT at work.

I have the jack to keep in the car just in case I need to change a wheel. Wouldn't want to get under it though. My 'garage' jack is one of these........

Fantastically sturdy but more expensive
The offer you show looks good value though
