Garmin have been around the longest i believe, so probley the most sorted.
They started years ago, before satnavs making fish finders and the such for the fishing industry. B)

Apparently it keeps taking him to the nearest fish mongers     ;)

Dont need a sat nav for that, living in Hastings with its own beach launched fishing fleet.

Well it cannot be worse than the TT. ;) I had a thought when I was connected to Garmin Express. Garmin seems to have fewer toys; for example there are celebrity voices and different cars to load. Maybe it is too much bells and whistles on the TT. In truth as soon as I saw the bigger screen I was happy - I am no longer in my twenties.  The Garmin runs more like Google than TT did which I like.

As you can see from the photo - my TomTom thought this was a normal road. It didn't direct me to it as a way to get to a particular street but a Lat/Long in the middle of nowhere, but it still recognised it as a road!

It has directed me up a byway that you needed a modified 4WD to get up before too - however, for day to day driving I prefer a TomTom to a Garmin, having used the mother in law's Garmin.

With the Garmin you can set it to avoid un -surfaced roads, handy when driving something 8' wide and 11'8" tall.

I gave it its first real outing the other day when I went to Notts to get some tyres with wheels attached.

It was a joy to use.....I got very close but had to ask where #29 was ; the seller told me most satnavs can't find him. :woohoo:
On the way back we were looking at how it was showing us the lane to take...........and missed it.
