A pattern is emerging with my Tomtom sat nav. It's about the third time the thing has taken me on a wild goose chase. I get close to a destination then it starts taking me off around the side streets. I have been a fan of Tomtom until I got this one a few years back. I need to get a very different make of satnav.

Once phones got Google maps I ditched stand alone sat nav systems. Not had any problems for years.

I have to use it again tomorrow and I am dreading it. As I get close to the destination it will take me on a tour.. I find myself totally ignoring it and going by road signs etc. where it is telling me to go in a different direction.
So you feel the Garmin does the business.

My previous one was really effective but the battery life was naff. I fitted a new battery too but it lasted only minutes.1066Boy wrote: I have a tom tom in my work truck and it seems to have a mind of its own.
